Moderator Bio:

Keyna Cory is the Executive Director for the Florida Recycling Partnership (FRP).  The FRP is a coalition of businesses and associations dedicated to improving Florida’s recycling rates. The mission of the FRP is to educate policy makers and the general public on the benefits of recycling.  They believe developing and adopting sustainable business practices will promote recycling, reduce waste, and increase the reuse of materials whenever possible.

She is also President of Public Affairs Consultants, Inc.   With over 30 years of legislative experience, she has worked with a variety of clients to help them achieve their legislative goals. She has considerable expertise in solid waste management including recycling, environmental, water, transportation, telecommunications, agriculture, sports and general business issues.

She has successfully navigated Fortune 500 companies; corporations; associations and small businesses through the governmental process.  Whether it is in the state capitol or city hall, Keyna handles diverse issues for their clients across the state.

Known in the Capitol as a consensus and coalition builder, Keyna has created and coordinated a number of coalitions ranging from tax issues; water standards and supply as well as metal theft.  She can bring a diverse group together to work on issues.

Frequently requested as a speaker at conferences and meetings, Keyna has presented legislative updates; grassroots training and coalition building to the Manufacturers Association of Florida; Florida Chamber of Commerce Environmental Short Course; 27th Annual WateReuse Symposium; American Water Reuse Association; Recycle Florida Today; Small Business Development Centers, Association of Florida Community Developers and WasteExpo.

Keyna attended the University of Florida and as a freshman, participated in a graduate program on students lobbying the Legislature. She has always had a deep interest in politics and government and met her husband and business partner, Jack Cory, while working on a legislative campaign.

The Cory’s live in Tallahassee with their dogs Bear and Rusty.
