Speaker Bio:
Ray holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts. He started his professional career in 1965 with General Electric Company (GE) where his last position was a Manufacturing Corporate Consultant at GE headquarters in Fairfield, CT. During his 22 years with GE, he held many positions in supervision, engineering, manufacturing and management at various GE businesses around the country. He later joined Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) based in Maynard, MA. where Ray was employed for another twelve years as a Management Consultant to DEC’s business customers both in the USA and Europe. Since 1999, Ray has held various semi-retirement positions including his current employment with Orange County Utilities Department – Solid Waste Division as a Program Coordinator. Over the last ten years, Ray oversees the Recovered Materials Processing Facility and the Waste Tire Program contract operations. He audits invoices, shipping reports, compliance to contract terms & conditions, scale and inspection reports. Ray, also, prepares for the county, all recycling and waste tire quarterly and annual reports to meet the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements in conjunction with the State’s 75% recycling goal by 2020.
Abstract:
This presentation will present a case study from a municipal market concerning recycling initiatives.
