Speaker Bio:

Steve Russell is the Director of Inbound Supply Quality for Strategic Materials, Inc., a national glass recycler and processor.  Currently based in St. Louis, Missouri, he regularly visits MRFs and SMI plants focusing on glass clean-up methods at the MRFs and the inbound inspection processes at the SMI plants.

A native of upstate New York, Steve spent 19 years working at various sales and technical service positions in the glass container industry with Thatcher Glass, Diamond Bathurst, and Anchor Glass in New York, Wisconsin and Missouri.   He joined Strategic Materials, Inc. in 1996 and has worked with Strategic holding the positions of Plant Manager, Area Supply Manager, Area Operations Manager, and Quality Director.

Abstract:

The presentation will explore information on current markets for recycled glass and the factors contributing to them.
